Kya Hubbard never pictured herself caught up in a world of shape-shifters and enemy packs. She was just a small town girl trying to work her way through college. When she’s attacked walking home after a long night working at the diner, the assault leaves her transformed and an unwilling member to a pack of vicious shape-shifters.
Kya bides her time and after years of torture and abuse, she finally escapes her pack and runs as fast and as hard as she can to find solace with her only friend in Montana’s breathtaking Glacier National Park.
Once in Montana, Kya’s hopes of a peaceful existence are dashed when her so-called friend turns her over to the Alpha of the great North West Territory pack. To make matters worse the Alpha’s larger and more ominous brother, Briggs, is reduced to a heap of gorgeous writhing agony upon locking eyes with Kya. Delighted by Briggs’ physical inhibition that is triggered by proximity to Kya, the Alpha informs the pack that Kya is Briggs’ mate.
Before Kya and Briggs can fight free of the mating bonds threatening to join them indefinitely and against their wishes, Kya’s insatiable pack tracks her down determined to drag her kicking and screaming back to their Colorado den.
As Briggs struggles to fight the wolf within that demands he bind Kya to him, he cannot fight his instincts to protect what is his. With the help of his pack, Briggs prepares to defend his unwanted mate while discovering that while Kya is not what he wants, she is what he needs.

I'm giving this book 3 stars for the entertaining story and an extra star for potential. This was a shifter story with some new fresh ideas and some moments of brilliance but it also had a few problems that were probably due to a lack of writing experience on the part of the author. A couple of places where motivations were not well explained and maybe where a character's motivations were weak and not a good basis for their actions. Perhaps also the shifter world needed a clearer explanation. Perhaps some ideas could have filled out a bit more clearly. There was nothing I really couldn't understand it just wasn't the most polished but it was far from a rough draft. There were some editing errors however. Still it was very readable. This was told entirely from the POV of the heroine. I liked her. She was a turned wolf in a world where turning humans to wolves is illegal. She dealt with it as best she could and was a fighter, not in a warrior sense, but in a never give up sense. She was an omega and was mistreated by her old pack. Here is one of those areas that could have used more filling out. What exactly is an omega in her "world"? Just the lowest wolf in the pack? Something else? Why did they turn her? Did that pack need women? Evidently the wolves could mate with humans and have wolf babies. That was only inferred though. How many packs were there? Why did the first pack have only men? Why did they treat her so bad? (rape and beatings and kept her in a basement for 4 years.) So even though you knew what had happened it wasn't real clear on whys. Also she didn't have any severe problem being with the hero even after being abused for 4 years. That was the only actual plot point I had a problem with.
One of the refreshing ideas was that once a wolf met his/her mate they were bowled over with pain whenever they touched if they were denying the bond. You could permanently deny the bond it seems although it wasn't real clear how or when the pain would go away if you did. It was pretty fun to see the hero accidently touch the heroine and practically fall over. The hero was not as well drawn as the heroine. He motivations were fairly weak in places and he did seem to blow hot and cold at odd intervals. I did like him though and enjoyed his alpha personality.
Final thoughts - I really enjoyed it. I would love to read more in this world. I hope to see the author continue to refine her work and tighten plots and motivations.

Territory Territory series Book 2 edition by Susan Bliler Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
This is a story that is connected to the previous one, Briggs is Dell’s brother and encounters his mate Kya purposely chained to be found by the pack after escaping from her own tragic beginning as a shifter. The story spans from Montana to Colorado and across the states as Briggs chases down his mate for a happy ending. The story while complete in itself sets up for further stories outside of Colorado where the pack expands its ties to other shifters
While this title would make you think it is a continuation of the prequel it absolutely is not. It is instead a total stand alone story about
Dell's brother and his predestined mate Kyra.
Susan Bliler has a way of just grabbing a reader up and thrusting them into the middle of a situation that takes your breathe away and hooks you so firmly it is hard to put the book down. All of her characters are real originals and they act in totally unimagined ways. Kya and Briggs are a wonderful combination. Although I wanted to smack them both for refusing to mate as each had decided that wasn't for them.
If you read Prequel you really have read this one too as they are both outstanding stories. My advise. BUY. READ. ENJOY THE JOURNEY.
I was really excited for this book, and I honestly thought it was going to be amazing. You had an abused female shifter (Kya) who was starting to discover her backbone after years of subjugation, and a surly male shifter (Briggs) who didn't want a mate, but he was going to end up with her anyways. What I seemed to get was a giant lump of a shifter male who had no depth and who mood was mercurial. He basically did whatever he wanted with Kya, including making her decisions for her, and forcing her to do things, and she just seemed to be slightly angry and within a paragraph she just seemed to forget. Her response was to continually run away; literally, I think that Kya ran away nearly 6 times, and every time something bad happened to her. Their personalities never take on any depth. They literally read like teenagers in Pleasantville; she wants a relationship and is all over him; he doesn't and tries to push her away. One minutes Kya is trying to seduce him; she's saucy and brazen. The next she's running from the room hurling excuses when things start to heat up. The trials they had to face were almost boring. Mean wolf shows up again, female shifter is hurt again, someone saves her again, she apologizes again. At first, I was so excited by the length of this book. By the time I got halfway through I was praying it was nearly over. There are quite a few spelling, mechanical, and story errors.
I find that I must agree with the previous 1-star reviewer. This book had so much potential but it was blown completely by the grammatical errors and the lack of editing. I thought there was a little more character development than initially thought but it was rather shallow. I hate that the author wrote mainly from the point of view from the heroine but every once in a while would try to switch to someone else's POV. That peeved me off as it was insufficient and really did not add much. Plus the pot development was a little odd. It seemed a bit off-kilter, particularly as the main conflict was over in the first half of the book and the rest was this continous merry-go-round relationship conflict between the main character and her love interest. However the story line does have a lot of potential and it could have used at least three more revisions and editing passes. If I could go back, I would not have purchased the book at it's current price. I would have waited for a sale; right now it is definitely over-priced. At it's current state, worth no more than 0.99 to 1.99, definitely not it's current list price of 4.99.
